Troubleshooting

Agent not seeing your TouchDesigner? That one is on the MCP page.

INSTALLATION

Every installation problem reported so far is fixed in the current release, so the first thing to try is always the same: update the plugin (SettingsCheck updates), or install the latest twozero.tox again. A reinstall keeps your settings and your local folder.

TouchDesigner closes itself a minute or two after start. TouchDesigner starts normally, then quits on its own — in every project, with no error message. This came from a leftover component written into TouchDesigner's own interface file; the current plugin finds and removes it on start. Update the plugin in the window you still have and the next start is clean. If the window closes before you get there, install the latest twozero.tox again — that clears it too.

Another plugin's interface shows up in every project. After installing or uninstalling twozero next to another plugin that lives in the bookmark bar (FunctionStore, for example), that plugin's interface could end up written into TouchDesigner's own interface file — so it appears in every project you open, including new ones, with twozero no longer there at all. Fixed: the installer now strips components that aren't ours before writing that file, and ordinary plugin updates never write it at all. If a machine is already in that state, reinstalling TouchDesigner restores the original interface file.

The install didn't finish after dragging the .tox into an open project. Use the clean route instead: close your project and double-click twozero.tox so TouchDesigner opens it on its own. The installer then runs directly, without the second window it otherwise needs, and you reopen your own project afterwards — see Installation.

GET STARTED does nothing. On Windows the permission prompt can open behind the TouchDesigner window — check the taskbar. On macOS the installer waits on One more step until Full Disk Access is granted; see Installation.

The plugin is gone after updating TouchDesigner. Expected — the plugin is stored per TouchDesigner build, so a new build needs a fresh installation. Your settings and local folder load automatically.
