[16] SETTINGS

Settings

Open from the root menu — TOOLS → Settings — or with the hotkey you assigned to it. Settings open full-width: the section sidebar collapses and the whole list is one column. Type to filter the list; [ENTER] or LMB on a row edits it.

GENERAL

Local folder Shared folder for components and templates. Click to change. Used by Local and by the Recent Projects log.
Create OP dialog Replace the TD Create OP popup with the twozero compact dialog (Create OP)
Pars with scroll Hover an OP and use the mouse wheel to tweak the parameter under the cursor. Handy with touchpads. CTRL/SHIFT change the step, ALT scrolls the entire parGroup.
Auto save Periodically save the project
Auto save interval Minutes between auto saves (1–600)
Store defaults to local Create OP writes OP defaults into the local folder (syncs across machines) instead of local preferences
Auto update Check for plugin updates on TD start (Update)
Copy paths to clipboard Enables Ctrl/CMD+C in the network editor: copies the paths of the selected operators to the clipboard, comma-separated
Zero-ui dialogs Render confirm dialogs in the new design; off = classic overlay

MCP

Auto start Launch the MCP server when TD opens, so AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) can reach this session
Local only Reject MCP connections from other machines (recommended)
Port MCP proxy port, 8000–65535 (default 40404). twozero assigns the next free ports to additional TD instances; your client always connects to this base port.
Navigate to AI changes Follow the operators an agent creates or modifies in the network editor

HOTKEYS

One row per tool: twozero (opens the plugin), ZOPs, Create OP, Search OP, Local, Cloud, Palette, Recent Projects, Search Code, VST, Locations, Settings.

Nothing is bound out of the box — assign what you need:

  1. Select a tool row
  2. [ENTER] or LMB
  3. Press the key combination, or cancel / clear it

Hotkeys can also be assigned from the root menu: RMB on a tool → Assign / Change hotkey. Assignments are stored per machine in the TD preferences folder (404.zero/hotkeys.json), so they survive updates and reinstalls.
